A curated archive of objects for the quiet home.
DAMDA is an independent archive of objects for the home. We look for things that are useful, quiet, and made to be kept.
We choose objects based on their ability to age well. We prefer materials that develop a patina over time—untreated wood, raw brass, natural linen. We avoid things that shout. Our selection process is intentional; we carefully curate each object to ensure it brings calm rather than clutter, prioritizing longevity and purpose.
While our studio is based in London, DAMDA operates as a curated consignment archive. We partner with independent makers and specialized distributors globally who share our values. By organizing our collection this way, we can offer a broader range of exceptional objects while ensuring they are dispatched directly from the source, reducing unnecessary handling and transit.
We believe the most sustainable object is one you do not need to replace. Our consignment model allows us to work directly with makers and small-scale manufacturers, ensuring your objects travel the shortest possible distance from their origin to your home. We advocate for minimal, paper-based packaging and encourage our partners to avoid unnecessary plastic fillers or inserts.
The name DAMDA comes from the Korean word ‘담다’, meaning to put something into a vessel, or to capture a moment. It reflects our hope that these objects will hold a meaningful place in your daily life.
